We have many choices for difficulty now with C3C, at what level should the new ISDG be played?
Edit: The current ISDG is at Regent level due to the features/bugs at the time of start, we had originally voted for Monarch.

As the vote was tied, I broke the tie and cast our vote for Monarch. At the time of this post Monarch and Emperor level are tied (GWT voted Sid  )

You may :b: and you have done your team and the UN a great service.
I change my vote from Monarch to Emperor and will break the second tie. Our new vote will be for Emperor level thus breaking the tie and impending second tie at the UN and keeping things moving.

Sorry, the UN poll is closed (and was at the time of your post.)
The issue now seems to be whether or not we teams should be allowed to change our team vote to break a tie. The admins seem to think that they should decide this arbitrarily and not put the vote change issue to a vote. They will find that this dictatorial thinking is a mistake and if they do not put it to a vote, you can expect me to “walk out” of the UN as I will not participate in such a hypocritical democracy.

I don't think people should be allowed to change their vote particularly, its open to abuse. But seeing as votes aren't private or concurrent to begin with it doesn't really make that much difference.

GWT wanted to change their vote from sid to emperor, a valid change as their vote for sid was a wasted vote. It seems that I was not the only one who felt that the admins should allow the change and allow the teams to decide issues on their own if possible, as the admins have agreed to allow the change.
The difficulty level for the 1st games will be set at Emperor.

Heck...if we are gonna do emperor, might as well do Raging Barbs and Sid so the game won't be any fun. :p
My reason for regent is that it gives a more equal game in which barbs aren't a huge issue since they are more easily defeated. Higher levels mean that a civ can get busted by barbs no matter how well they plan. I hate barbarians and I've had to deal with them since Civ1...there should be an option to remove them from the game in Civ4. :\

laser only thing that needs-changed about barbs is you should be able to get a gl from killing them as many figures from history made their mark by huntingbandits and barbs

Well, I don't know if you played Civ and Civ2, but I had to deal with barbs back in the days where they simply sprang up from out of the sea or out of the land. They had no cities....it was like dealing with earthquakes, volcanos, and floods in Civ. They were just random and they would come at the most inconvenient times. They were just a nuisance to the game, and you didn't get 25 gold from destroying their camps. :p What camps?

No....barbarians should be a civ...not merely a computer controlled plague. What happened to the barbarians? They became civilized just like everybody else...and they no longer exist. That's why I don't like them in the game. That and 999 other reasons. :D
