Well we still don’t know what civ we will be but we should not wait much longer to hold our elections. People have declared their candidacy for some positions but there are still positions with no candidate. What do we have here, a bunch of sheep? Lemmings perhaps; everyone follows… Lets see some team spirit here! :doitnow: Let’s not have any unopposed candidates! :doitnow: Let’s see some debate! :doitnow!: Let’s see some mud-slinging and rat-****ing! :doitnow!:

Since we can’t assign the actual titles until we know what civ we will be, the generic description will have to do. Those who have already declared their candidacies in other threads are listed here. Anyone wishing to run for an office should post in this thread. This post will be updated to reflect any new candidates.

Head of State

Miccofl – Declared Candidacy ("You have two cows. One has actually read the constitution, believes in it, and has some really good ideas about government. The cow runs for office, and while most people agree that the cow is the best candidate, nobody except the other cow votes for her because they think it would be throwing their vote away")

Miccofl – nominated by Furloaf.

Military

brian_the_bold – Declared Candidacy ("plow me up a rock to bash somebody’s brains in")

Democracy isn't dead, it's just trying to sleep through all the back-biting and whining at the UN. It will wake back up when the UN get's its shit together.

Seems some of the other teams are holding elections already. Looks like we are ahead of them all. If I withdraw my name from consideration for Foreign Affairs we have a government (dysfunctional as it may be  )

I had hoped for a little more participation from the members of this team and I'm beginning to have doubts as to whether we should have fielded a team. The start of a game always has the highest participation, if this is our highest level I will probably be playing this by myself well before we go AD.

Make a couple of annoucements in each forum, or PM the key people. Maybe they just forgot because of the limbo?

I wish it were so simple.

shadowlord3 has told me he would prefer not to VP in this game, so given that, I will remove him from consideration and nominate brian_the_bold for the Back-up Head of State position. Since one shouldn't hold two positions in the government at the same time (and it is doubtful that anyone will declare a candidacy for the VP job) we will need a second person to run for Defense - Frozzy, you just got nominated for the job.
