View Full Version : Team pledge to not use legal exploits

The whole situation with the PTW ISDG has left me feeling extremely dejected. I have no drive for that game anymore, any victory would be bittersweet, and any defeat exasperating. I do not want this to happen in this game.

We saw an action that we considered unfair taken by another team and then concluded that it was therefore fair for us to return in kind. I suggest that in this game we do not attempt to justify our actions based on the actions of others. We should play the game as we would expect other courteous teams to play.

I therefore ask that in our unwritten constitution we reject out of hand any actions that we would consider unfair if used against us, no matter what their legality is. This includes requests from any allies to assist them in execution of such plans. Additionally, if we come across any potentially controversial plans or 'exploits' that we would normally raise with an admin I suggest we raise it at the UN for discussion before we take the action.

Such actions may result in a disadvantage to us, but I would rather be an honourable and gracious loser, than a hollow victor.

Bottom line: I want our team to be beyond reproach.

I think we have proven beyond any doubt that you cannot shame a sociopath. :\ We have to learn from our mistakes; we will not stoop to the shady tactics of others in this game. In fact, the next time such an event occurs, (done by another team) there will be no one telling me that we will not contest it because I can assure you that we will (well you can say it but I will not listen.) (We should have contested the Game Admin's decision to allow GCA to teleport.)
