Notice About Forum Downtime

I'm just making sure that those participating in the democracy games make a note of the most recent announcement - we will be going down for an undetermined period of time on Friday in order to upgrade the boards to vBulletin 3. You may wish to inform those overseeing the game that a small delay may be necessary. (E-mail and chat will still work.)

Thanks for the heads-up reis. It wouldn't affect our email even if it did affect the CGN mail server though. Our turns come through one of my miccofl.net accounts because they are easier to configure, I don't have to bother anyone to get a new one, unlimited autoresponders, web based and POP access, and since I pay for the service and am guaranteed 99.9% uptime, I might as well use it for something besides receiving 3-400 spams a day.

What's going to happen to all our toys though? :scared:

Most of our toys will still be here. The only major thing that's going away for the time being is the store, because it hasn't been ported to vB3 yet (and may not be). We're going to maintain all the settings for it, though, so in the event it does get ported, everyone's wallets and bank accounts will be intact (and interest will accumulate).

The arcade will still be around (with new features and different games, most likely) and most of the other hacks have been ported and will be gradually phased in so as not to prolong the downtime.
