Okay, there are a couple things we have to do this turn that are a bit out of the ordinary.
First...
We should have our science slider at 90%, with luxury slider at 10%.
Second...
Invictus should have it's WF at 5-16-Scientist, giving 2 food per turn, 3 shields per turn and 7 science per turn (will change Overseer orders to reflect this).
Why do this, you ask?
Simple, timing for the Pyramids.
Currently, we have 4 turns left on Iron Working, and a certain amount of beakers left to fill. At a quickened pace compared to what we're running at now, it will take 9 turns to research Masonry afterwards. That's a total of 13 turns before we have Masonry. The problem is, we don't have that much time left on our Pyramids prebuild (Granary). If we don't get Masonry in time, we either have to delay our Pyramids build (screwing up WF, food balance, shields, commerc, etc.) in order to make sure the Granary doesn't complete in Invictus, or we build a Granary there and we lose a bunch of shields.
Because of miccofl's last turn WF configuration for Invictus, we have 2 extra food to work with (2 food that will be lost when we grow). By changing the WF in this way to use a scientist in conjunction with the slider at 90% science this coming turn, we can finish Iron Working in 3 turns instead of 4. This means we can start on Masonry a turn sooner, meaning we finish Masonry a turn sooner, meaning we can change over our Granary prebuild to the Palace in time to avoid the problems I mentioned above.
What does it cost us?
Nothing, really. Just some gold that we'll burn off doing some deficit research between now and when we finish Masonry. But sometimes that's how the cookie crumbles, and that's why it's good to have a treasury to start the game with in order to do this sort of thing. :)
