SUC1: Info/Turn Report Thread
Yay, CGN's first succession game. I expect turns to progress every 2 days. Remember folks, only play 20 turns at a time. If you go over, it's ok, but try not to.
Since we can attach files, zip them and attach to a post here. Please add a commentary on your turn, too. A simple yearly report is fine but it's always fun to make a story out of it. ![]() Difficulty: Regent Barb Activity: Medium Civ: Greece Map: Normal Type: Small Continent Rainfall: Wet Temperature: Cool Age: 3 Billion years You need the 1.21 patch. Here we are, the first 1000 years of the Greeks.
4000 - The Greeks decided to settle down and organized a settling group and a worker group to improve the campsite. ColonyPod, an obscure dork who liked to play strategy games, was elected leader of the polis. The original site was abandoned in favor of a more southern site closer to wheat. Elephant herds were noted to be towards the north 3950 - The first Greek city, aptly named CGN, was founded on the coast. The worker, who was sent to explore, came towards a wheat field to put roads. CP assigned a group of men to be trained as warriors to explore the surrounding area. 3850 - The first Greek construction, The Colonial Passage, was built, increasing trade between the city and the wheat farmers. Soothsayers were instructed to investigate a strange technology, known only as "masonry". 2800 - Soothsayer funding was increased to 90%, eliminating all government income but cutting off a few hundred years. 2700 - The first Warrior Army of CGN was created and was sent to explore the southern lands. A new group of settlers was to be formed. 3550 - The warriors found a supply of dyes. CP decided to build a new city, Christantinople, near the dyes to exploit the trade value. 3450 - The culture of CGN was so great that it increased our zone of influence, bringing a herd of elephants under our control. The workers were sent out to build a road to this luxury item. 3150 - After finding nothing but dyes, hills, and jungle in the south, the CGN Warriors were sent up north and found that there were five herds of elephants, waiting to be used. 3000 - The new settlers were fully trained and sent on their journey. Sadly, Emperor CP died this year, his last wish was that the city the settlers would found would be named "Christantinople". I set the settler to go where I thought the best city position would be (the hill between the wheat and a dye) and the worker is making a road in that directoin. And I'd appreciate it if CP's dying wish is honored. ![]() Turn goes to Laser...

2850 - Christantinople established in honor of the great leader Chris I.
2850 - My people are so impressed with my leadership that they offer to expand my palace. 2710 - The Greeks discover the secrets of Masonry and decide to look into how iron works. 2390 - Contact is made with the insolent Babylonians. Because they thought they were so good, I was able to trade them Masonry and Alphabet for Warrior Code, Pottery, and 5 gold. 2230 - Dang I'm good! The people expand my palace again! ![]() The next person should get to place two cities or maybe even three. Lucky. But I feel for you, because it is gonna be hard to decide where to put those cities. We are starting to get boxed in, and by watching the replay, I can see that the Babylonians are in the middle. Try to forge an alliance against them with the other guys (Aztecs?) asap. Turn goes to orange... |
