1350 - CP III, great distant relative of the CP II, comes to power and sees the war-torn Kingdom of the Greeks poor, powerless, and full of corruption. The nobles who live in the posh towers of Civgaming know nothing of the southern lands where the Babylonian Empire used to be. CP decided to take it upon himself to completely reform the empire. The crowning achievement of this reform movement would be the relocation of the capital itself from the luxury appartments of Civgaming to the frontier city of Saugus. The first few years of his reign he devotes to setting up for the massive governmental change he plans.

In Babylon V, the damaged Code of Hammurabi was restored and forms the centerpiece of the new courthouse. Production changed to colosseum.

rSH completes temple; production changed to aquaduct.

Americans trade Theology for Chivalry and 57 gold and trade spices for ivory and iron.

1355 - Saugus and Mictopia go into disorder and the luxury rate is raised to ten percent.
Laseropolis is prepared for a revival by changing it's population to food-producing tiles and by having workers irrigate surrounding plains.

1360 - Saugus and Mictopia are brought to order.
All swordsmen disbanded in Apolytonopolis.
Civgaming switched from Sun Tzu to the Sistine Chapel.
A revolution is started.

1365 - Apolytonopolis completes temple; production changed to library.

1370-1385 - Revolution continues.

1390 - Revolution ends; republic chosen as government.
Disease in Christograd due to proximity of jungle.

1395 - All superfluous defensive units and remaining swordsmen disbanded.

1400 - Saugus completes granery; production changed to palace.

1405 - Most irrigation workers near Laseropolis are rerouted to Saugonian hills to build mines due to low shield production.

1410 - Civgaming completes Sistine Chapel; production changed to colossium.
Harrison-upon-Provost completes harbor; production changed to colosseum (I think).
orange completes colosseum; production changed to Leonardo's Workshop (to stockpile shields).

1415 - Babylon V enters civil disorder. Laborer changed to entertainer.

1420 - Babylon V recovers.
Leopolis completes temple; production changed to library.
Armagaddon completes temple; production changed to library.
Port Flood enters civil disorder. Laborer changed to entertainer.

1425 - Port Flood recovers.

1430 - Mine network half-completed near Saugus, improving shield production.

1435-1440 - Irrigation progresses near Harrison-upon-Provost to encourage growth.
Laseropolis enters strong growth stage.

1445 - Education researched; research directed to Music Theory.
Babylon V completes colosseum; production changed to university.
Saugus' production retooled from palace to courthouse due to enormous corruption.
orange's production retooled from Leonardo's Workshop to university.

CP III died in 1445, seeing the ancient monarchy change into a prosperious republic. Due to the demands of palace construction in Saugus, the far reaches of the conquered territory still remain unconnected to the road network. CP III, on his death bed, advised the workers around Saugus be redirected towards road-building as soon as they're finished with the mines.

Suggestions:
Despite my efforts, we're still not very powerful. Refer to the map:

Northern Reaches = Undeveloped, due to nearly constant warfare up until the last 30 turns. orange (big square) is the location of the Forbidden Palace.

Southern Reaches = Corrupted, unconnected towns. The largest city, Saugus (small square), is also the most corrupt.

If you draw a line between Christograd and Christantinople, you get a the perfect border between the two places. Since they are also the only two cities in the middle region, they are the only cities that will be negatively affected by the palace move.

Congratulations on your empire reform, CP! I support CP III's movement of the government to central Saugus, leaving the city of orange to take command of mainland Greece.

Laser has a spectacular aura aboutLaser has a spectacular aura about
1445 AD - Temples rushed in Port Flood and Oriole.

1455 AD - orange begins constructing Leonardo's Workshop.

1485 AD - Apolytonolopolis is connected to the rest of our empire. Apolytonolopolis defects to the Aztecs...go figure.

1490 AD - Construction of the new palace in Saugus begins. The American city of Boston completes Leonardo's Workshop.

1495 AD - Civgaming begins work on JS Bach's Cathedral.

1500 AD - Port Flood and Armageddon connected to the rest of our empire. Fortunately, they haven't decided to join the Aztecs, and due to Babylonian citizens, probably won't.

1520 AD - America says that they are the only hope for world peace, and that we should give them dyes to aid their cause. I say they can shove it up their butt, and if they want peace, then they can take what we give them. How's a few million Knights invading your continent sound, America? Oh, by the way, America declared war on us.

Advice for the next person: America appears to be ready to land some units (they have a caravel near former Babylonia), this poses a huge problem because we have almost no standing military...save a Hoplite in each city. You may have to buy some knights. Good luck with that. I recommend we get ready for another war. This time, with America.

Our economy and culture is starting to take shape, with a little more work, I think we'll be good to go. We have a few cities, orange and Civgaming, that really don't have any more things to build except for units, wealth, and wonders.

Here it is:
